Oh Flea, what can I say other than things are just crap for you at the moment

Can't give you any medical advice, but I just wanted to send you my heartfelt best wishes to you right now. As others have said, please take care of yourself, so you can take care of your husband when you get to Australia. He is definitely a lucky man to have such a wonderful wife as yourself

You will be driven from A to B in their little motorised car things they have in the airport, you wont have to carry your luggage and oxygen will be made available to you on the flight, once again when I flew with Cyprus Airways and there was a drop in cabin pressure and I was struggling with my asthma, I was offered oxygen.

Have the fitness to fly certificate with you, but at least if you have booked assistance then you wont have to struggle alone.

But get to the doctor first and get checked out as 22 hours is a long time if you get into respiratory distress and have to be offloaded at Singapore.

Wish I could help Flea I really do, it must be awful for you and my thoughts are with you and your husband.

Keep us posted.
this is great Advice

Hope it all goes wellfor you and you get to your DH as soon as you can take are and wishing you some really good luck

I am still in recovery from pneumonia, although my last chest xray was clear i caught a chest infection from my grandaughter. I am getting better but still needing an inhaler and cannot walk too far.
This morning my OH, who is still in Sydney, collapsed outside the bank and was taken to the hospital in a great deal of stomach pain. He is very unwell.
I am frantically looking for a flight to get back to him. Looks like Thursday is my best bet.

Any advice to help my trip be a bit easier on my chest? I am too scared to ask for help at the airport in case they say i cant fly.
Oh deary I'm so sorry to hear this. You don't do things by half do you?

First of all do you know what your husband's diagnosis is Flea? My daughter collapsed with abdominal pains in March...it was kidney stones...10 hrs later she was discharged from hospital and has been OK since.

I would have a word with your doctor and see what the risks to you are. Then weigh this up against your husband's illness. You have to be realistic...you're no good to him if you're going to be in intensive care. Speak to your doctor. Fingers crossed he will give you a clean bill of health to fly.

Another consideration is travel insurance with an existing illness.

Sorry to hear you guys have had another setback.

Great advice from Professional Princess get the airline to help you, my grandparents used to get that when flying to the States, they couldn't do enough for them.

Hope your husband gets better soon

It's Thursday here already so I hope you have both good news for how your DH is going, and also a plan of action if you do, indeed, leave today. You are probably too busy to keep us in the loop but we are thinking of you!
