villages in Devon for us!!!! Bless them.
They went out yesterday armed with camera and map and came back with a few shots from around the area we want to settle in, Cullompton. The villages are Sampford Peverall, Uffculme and Kentisbeare...I think, in no particular order as I got all excited and jumbled them up!!!!
And look....the sun is shining in Blighty!!

Tracey...you must be so excited. Your in-laws sound wonderful...so are mine. I regret what I have done to them...taken their only grandchild to live on another continent.

yeah, you and me both girl!!
They idolised our two when we were in the UK. They were so hands on Granny and Granddad, they always wanted to be part of their lives. They were, and still are, so kind and thoughtful, never interfering, never judging, just amazing and I know I am lucky. So, what did we do? decide to move to the other side of the world in the vague hope of finding something 'better'!! Such idiots me and my old man!! derrr!!!

Good luck with your last year in Oz - now you can settle down and enjoy it, safe in the knowledge that you are on your way home

Sounds all very delightful, now try to get a well paying job so you can afford to buy in Devon.
Pretty countryside, too bad it is so packed with tourists you can hardly move, and that whooshing sound, that is life passing you by on the motorway.
Doting Grand Parents are great, until they try to become doting Parents, be careful you don't get more interference than you are prepared to handle.
We were fortunate, wife put the line in the sand from day one, our kids, our way, may not be your way, in which case, there is the highway.

If things go wrong for me when i emigrate then a little bungalow near the sea in a small village in Devon will be next move

I love Devon and Cornwall...very jealous...spend most of my summers in Cornwall as a child...family had a house and farm there...then later as a biker we were lucky enough to have a friend with land in Cornwall ...both are lovey places...I miss the area a lot....
