Good to hear about the green fields but I'm not really into cricket heheheh

If you are planning to start a family I would recommend Wirral. It was rated the fourth best place in Britain to raise a family in some study a while black. Hoylake would be my choice, inexpensive housing, low crime, old fashioned shopping and frequent fast train service into the centre of Liverpool.

If planning no kids and more into nightlife as a couple then the Lark Lane suggestion sounds good to me.

Hi there,

Im a Wirral girl born and bread and although Im probably bias, lark Lane is great! Its small but has some lovely bars and restaurants next to a nice park.

Im planning on moving from the Wirral to Oz, my reason for this, something different! Liverpool is a really cool city with tons to do, there are rough parts of course (as there is with everywhere) but its not the majority.

If you are planning to raise a family as said in previous posts then the wirral would be great for you, Hoylake, Heswall and new brighton are nice enough areas. Id avoid Birkenhead like the plague, I have lived there and currently work there in drug services, its not a nice place!

Other than that you'll be fine. Thing to remember is that its all a matter of opinion, you may love it or hate it, hard to tell until you get there.

Good luck with the move
