I finished high school in the late 70's it was extremely depressing to my friends and I, we worried that we'd never find work or be able to afford to do or go anywhere, and one friend cried thinking she and her sweetheart would never be able to marry and find work or have a family one day. Little did we know what the 80's would bring
We just couldn't see an end to all the unemployment and misery. I see my Son and his friends with that look, he'll be a high school senior next week.

He can sneak over the border to Canada! ;)

Youth unemployment is a huge issue worldwide it seems, at least in Western nations. Here in Australia it is over 20%.

Meanwhile the cost of the business of education continues to increase while more and more folk get ever more degrees and diplomas for reasons i'm not sure of.
Why isn't the Corporate sector investing far more in the training of the young? Far too many quick fixes like juggling the immigration figures year by year.

Actually oddly enough none of the trips were what we consider ping ponging. Each move was for a reason, not because we had made the wrong decision or thought either country was bad or wrong. We did it because we were young and could do it, now we have a family and want to be in the UK as we feel it is better for us and as a bonus I have a great employment opportunity.
I do think this will be the last move for us.
