Question License & Driving

Hey everybody,

Quick question: When shall I apply for my provisional license here in the UK? My 12 months are up in Jan

Kinda crazy I've been here this long already (landed in Jan.) I've only driven my husbands manual car once and I stalled it 4 times haha.

I am planning on getting some lessons shortly. Since he will be going back to work and I have a full time job now (Wooohooo.)

I wanted just to get an automatic. However; I always think of "What if's" like what if my car is in the shop and I can only drive his to work? What then?

I was thinking of applying to get it but then I worry that will cancel out my remaining months of driving on my "Full" US license.

Thanks in advance.

Default Re: License & Driving

Apply as soon as possible. Once you reach January you won’t be able to drive on your US licence so you’ll have needed to pass your UK test by then.
