Hope it all goes ok PP
See, this is what i dont get here. If you pay for private cover why should you have to pay ANYTING for your treatmetn? Surely thats the whole point having it covered? We just use medicare and I dont have to pay a cent for anything. I even went to a cardiologist a few weeks ago who wanted to charge me money and i said i dont have any on me right now, i dont have my purse with me... so... low and behold they just put it through on medicare and i paid zero!
All very confusing i think

I refused and he gave me a lecture of the importance of the dressing supporting the wound and internal sutures - bollocks to that, I am not paying $30 a go.
If more needs to be removed then he can bulk bill for it. They can all do it if they want to.
Im waiting by my phone now for my results.

Well they can all bulk bill - if they want to but it means more paperwork. The doctor phone me yesterday to ask if I needed a new dressing.

Thing is they never mentioned any costs to me at all, i insisted i took him to the hospital as it is only 5 mins away, but they said no, they said he needed to be taken in ambulance as precausion.
I've been had, it's all a scam to get money...i won't pay it without a fight. I can see sense in afew hundred, but not 6

Had I not moved here then I would never have known.
The doctor is very blunt and he said to me 'I am sure you are not stupid enough to think a tan looks good are you?'
Some people do think that though, perhaps they should go through the worry that I am now.

I dont even sunbathe - this mole is courtesy of the UK. My GP would no way do mole checks in the UK and even then, this one looked normal so nothing would ever have been done.

Just as we get a few hundred bucks saved, it goes on something else. I wish we didnt have to worry about money.
Anyway, I shall take out my mobile phone now and keep it by my desk.
He is a good doctor though, saved my colleagues life by diagnosing malignant melanoma.
fingers crossed.

You'll need that celebratory spending spree (just think of the money you are saving on medical costs
) followed by a champagne or two

Glad we've never needed an ambulance here. Didn't realise they charged that much!
Had a filling yesterday, no injection $268! A rip off.
Will wait for anything else now when we're home in a few weeks!

No injection? There is no way on the life of my nipple would I let a dentist near me for a filling without a substantial amount of local anaesthetic.
