That's another way of looking at it, and one I will give some thought to. When you're like me though and you've got family in both countries, you have to make a pretty stark choice between some of your relatives and others. If I were unable to move between countries it would mean not only choosing which part of my family to live near, but also choosing which members of my family to never see again for the rest of my life.

To be quite honest, I don't even want to imagine that.

As a brit yet to make the move, I consider your circumstances - didn't really want to go in the first place, only went cause husband really wanted too, then husband ran of with another woman, then you got a freak spider bite.

If I have this all correct (you have my sympathies if so) then if you are even finding yuorself weighing up the options, Australia must be some country and have a lot to offer.
