Default Home contents insurance

Any experience of using these go compare type web sites for home insurance in UK.
I need to insure my contents for my new place from June and as I have lived outside the UK for 25 years and have not lived in my new apartment I am worried about getting realistic quotes. Alternatively any good insurance sites for returning expats where we can get decent quotes.

I use them (or Confused.com) for every insurance - pet, home, car, etc. Not sure what you mean by 'realistic quotes' - the prices given are purchasable, you just click through and buy. And go via Topcashback or Quidco for extra cash!

thanks for the reply - my biggest worry is having no history in UK and not having lived in my new place. I am certain that this might raise questions

We had no problem getting house contents insurance under similar circumstances, even when we rented a house for a 6 month temporary stay in 2011.

thanks for the replies.
I tried 3 web based compare sites and received some interesting variations.
I have opted not to go with the cheapest as I there were large variations in the conditions.
Surprisingly my bank gave me a very good deal with fewer exclusions so that might be worth noting for others.
