Hi from London
Hi
I'm not British, but joined this forum when I was l;ooking for info on moving to the UK for about a year.
Been here 1 week now, from Canada. Living in Hayes village, Bromley, and loving it so far. Have had sun every day except for today, but I lived on Canada's west coast for 5 years so used to grey and rain :-)
Big problem... where do I buy hazelnut coffee creamer (International Delight or Coffee Mate or any other similar brand)? I love tea but I'm having withdrawal symptons from my hazelnut infused coffee! This is not the syrup but the white creamer. I have a Starbucks nearby and may have to resort to their syrup version :-(

It would give you the taste of hazelnut without the sweetness. If hazelnut isn't available (and you might need to go to specialist food shop to find this), maybe almond might be OK?
At this time of year (as we approach Christmas), you're more likely to find a wider selection of extracts in stores.
Best of luck,

I live on the flavoured creamers when I'm back home (Alberta) but have never found them here. You could also go to Whittards and buy their hazelnut syrup but I think in England you are kind of stuck with syrup instead of creamer...

You won't get the flavoured creamer in liquid form (how I miss it!) BUT... You can get the hazelnut syrup in Tesco's, Asda and Safeway it's in the tea and coffee aisle.. usually on the top shelf...
You can try this link, if you drink a lot of it.. LOL

or this one has the powdered hazelnut flavour coffeemate.

Hope that helps...

Re: Hi from London
Thanks for the replies.
Have confirmed that there is no hazelnut liquid creamer in the UK :-( Will need to get a bottle in from Canada somehow. The syrup is ghastly imho.
SDER, Hayes/Bromley is a nice area and I like it here so far. Working temporary at The Glades mall, so easy bus route for me from Hayes. My son will be wqorking in Croydon at their mall.

Sorry just another quick thought - have you tried the Canada shop on Maiden Lane? (close to Covent Garden) It's on the same road as the Maple Leaf pub and sells lots of canadian stuff - nanaimo bar mixes, red river cereal, kraft cheese dinner etc. If they don't have it, then no one will... (Don't know why I haven't looked there myself actually)
