Why don't you just run a Search? This question has been answered dozens of times - well, except for the tax evasion side of it, of course.

And since when was "several months" two? Or are you just changing the story because us UK-tax-paying UK residents are vocally pissed off at your scrounger attitude? You must be having a laugh, whinging about all those other scroungers and benefits cheats.

If you are not residing permanently in the UK, you are not eligible for my UK tax-funded routine health care. Use your US health insurance to pay for it. This country is entering a public service funding crisis and can ill-afford subsidizing yet another non-contributor to the system.

I am not a troll Ron Jeremy, I have been on this site for years. Don't assume anyone who hasn't crossed swords with you is a troll. We all know you have the size advantage.

I didn't realize that living in Scotland qualified someone as a British expat.

Then you need to do a little more research, instead of blowing smokescreens.

If your intention is only to return to the UK for several months, then you will not be able to claim treatment on the NHS. This is for returning residents who intend to settle in the UK only. If you accept treatment and then leave the country, they may chase you for reimbursment. I knew someone who was chased through the tax office in Canada for the same thing.

You won't be a UK resident so therefore may not be entitled to "free" NHS care. Here are a couple of links for you to read up on:

http://www.dh.gov.uk/en/Healthcare/E...able/DH_074373 http://www.dh.gov.uk/en/Healthcare/E...tors/index.htm

Also kindly tone down the insults, its not on.

No - use the Search facility and you'll find the answers in less than a minute.
