Going back for a funeral

Re: Going back for a funeral
Hello
Two days ago my father died, I am devastated. I have just returned from a visit home. I planned to go back next year permanently and hoped he had a few good more years. We return this weekend and although we have only been in Canada for 9 months so much has changed, everything has changed .........
I don't know what I'm doing here
I am feeling every emotion today, guilt, sadness and regret

I am so sorry for your loss, it happened to me earlier this year but it helps to remember the special time you spent with him very recently,
my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family

Just another one passing on hugs and my sympathies.
You emotions will run high and all over the place for a good wee while - please don't make any major decisions in the next month or two. But I think I've understood that you were already planning to move back to the UK anyway? My very best wishes to you and all your family - look after each other

Re: Going back for a funeral
I can relate to how you're feeling having only lost my mother, who I was very close to, nearly eleven months ago now. The period of the sickening sadness and deep loss will eventually somewhat give way to memories of happier times.
Embrace the love you feel for your loved one and it will embrace you in return.
God bless.
