Question Getting a UK job from OUTSIDE the UK

Would love to hear from others who have tried applying for a job in the UK from outside the UK and what their experiences were.

Were you successful?
How did you get interviewed? (Telephone / Skype ?)
Were employers prepared to wait for you to pack up and come over to start?
Is this a viable option or is it a waste of time and shoud I just go back to the UK and apply from there?
Any advice / tips ?

I think this would depend on the kind of employment you were applying for.
If your talking unskilled employment then in my opinion your chances would be slim, there is enough cheap labour here to satisfy any employer.

Goodluck
