Thumbs up Finally Going Home..

Yes....I know how many looked twice at the heading..!! and before anyone asks..no the house hasn't sold yet but it may have..not saying too much as don't want to jinx things.

So Little Miss Pants and I are leaving Oz next week ( 14th) and arrive in super busy Heathrow 15th at the gorgeous waking hour of 5.50am..eeekkkkkkk still I'm sure plenty out there know what that's going to feel like but I don't care we are going to be home. Back to loving family and friends, seasons, cheap travel, history, culture, Indian take away ( saddo), M&S, Next, Oasis, country pubs, green grass, new baby's I haven't ever met,.....the list goes on.!

I will be very sad to go and already have started blubbering...soft olive !just saying the goodbyes will be bad enough but I am leaving Mr Pants here to see through the odds and ends, now that will be the saddest and hardest part.!Gulp.!!!

Any advice from anyone who has done this flight with a busy 21/2yr old( on their own) pls pls submit suggestions.....beg!beg !!

I expect this week to be full of very mixed emotions and they have started already....So returnees I hope to meet you all sometime in the near future.....and for those thinking about or making plans to head back to the UK from wherever I wish you lots of luck and happiness as I do those coming out to Australia and New Zealand.

Now where's the Kleenex..!!! ..but I am happy

All the best and I hope you settle back well. Be happy!!

As for flying with a busy bee...we did it once A huge bag of toys, nibbly food bits, calpol, valium (for you!), and make sure the airline has mistakenly booked your seats in opposite ends of the plane!!!!!!!!! I'm sure you will be fine. xxx

Hi Pants, i know how you must be feeling, we too are waiting for someone to come and buy our house, then we can start to plan our trip back to uk. We have been here for just over 2yrs,and are ready to return, hopefully we will be back in time for xmas....

It's exciting but on the other hand it will also be sad to say goodbye to all the lovely friends we have here, but we know in our hearts that this is not where we want to stay.
Have a safe and not too stressful journey home with your little one, and all the best of everything in life for the future....

Good Luck Pants & Tapalinga

We're in the UK and one of the waiting ones!

Perhaps a new Forum needs to be set up - 'Houses for Exchange' - could save money and speed up the process for relocations in both directions!!!!

Enjoy your new lives

Thanks Juliet yes it sure is a long flight I did it out here when she was a bubs and luckily we stopped the night in Singapore but now doing on my own I just want to get there although we stop in KL for 3 hours. I am just going to give her Demazin (antihistamine) for the flight back and perhaps some rescue remedy if she gets over excited....I know I will knocking the bottle back myself !!!

Good luck with the house viewing....all exciting stuff getting back on track. I phoned some friends tonight who don't have email so told them my news and they are so excited..it some ways it's doesn't quite feel real yet !!

Cheers

P

All the best mate - hope it works out well for you! Enjoy M&S on my behalf, and have a pint of something for me in an idyllic country pub somewhere

Look forward to your posts from sunny England

Wonderful news Pants......

The flight will be fine, just keep thinking curry, M&S, chocolate and ploughmans with a pint.....

As far as travelling with a little one.... Just stay calm, give her plenty of fluids, as they dehidrate easily on a flight. so with that, all the potty trip will pass the time.... LOL

3 hour stopover= playtime, run around and wear herself out for the next step.... I found a little corner in the flight lounge and let mine loose for a while. Noone minded as they were out of the way and not too noisy....
If not, just walking around aimlessly helps... LOL OOOOOwwww.. DUTY FREE SHOPPING...

You have a wonderful flight, big hugs to you and yours. It won't be long before Mr Pants joins you, so think of the reunion...

Thanks everyone....can't seem to sit still for long at the moment...must be the excitement..no rude comments pls...!!tsk tsk

HM ..lol l will not have any choice in the walking round aimlessly bit..!!I'm sure I will have that vague expression plastered all over my face by then..!!still hopefully it will keep at bay those heaps of perfume sprayers in Duty Free..ekkkk how many people does that area employ..Kula Lumpa Duty Free I mean !!!
Still just keep thinking M&S, choccie, country pubs, green grass, FAMILY..YIPPEEEEEE .......
Yes I really hope Mr Pants won't be too far behind and wowoowwwwww what a reunion we shall have!!!
Will say bye bye next week just before I head home when I am all cried out but until then it's lists and packing.

Stay happy peeps

Love P x

Oh I'm so sorry for thinking you have a boy.. you have a little girl (should be saying wee girl here in NZ shouldn't I?)

I'm excited for you Pants.. really I am... I've only been away for 4 months and I miss loads about the UK.

I bet you'll be so excited the journey will go by in a flash.
