Default Canadian OAS AND CPP pensions

Hello,

My wife and I are considering a move back to the UK and will soon be eligible to receive our Canadian OAS and CPP pensions there. Does anyone know if we can receive these as stirling cheques? I know that we can organize direct deposit. The service Canada website just bangs on about direct deposit which we don't want to do to start with until we are settled.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you

PS Government websites send me to sleep, so maybe I missed the relevant page. Also, I find their Q&A phone people either ineffective or very officious.

I found this -

Receiving payment of Old Age Security and Canada Pension Plan pensions and benefits outside Canada

Receiving your Old Age Security (OAS) and Canada Pension Plan (CPP) payments in the local currency can save you money.

Because your payments will have already been converted into the local currency of the country where you live, you should get a better exchange rate, and you might also pay lower banking fees for cashing your cheques.
https://www.canada.ca/en/services/be...it-amount.html
So it does look possible.
