a book about returning home
I found this book to be really helpful, even when going home for short holidays. Just thought I'd share:
The Art of Coming Home by Craig Storti.
I found it on Amazon.
Here's a quote from the back cover:
"The overwhelming majority of people returning from an overseas sojourn find readjusting to their home culture more difficult than adjusting to the foreign culture. .........the phenomenon of reentry is popularly known as "reverse culture shock"
Whether you are already a returnee, are about to become one, or are just now thinking of moving abroad, The Art of Coming Home will give you some much-needed perspective on this highly charged and complex experience."

Sounds interesting Daisy - Does it give advice and info on returning home or does it just talk about how to cope with re-adjustment??

no it doesn't give practical advice, just faces the issues on re-entry.
