Default Australian Superannuation

After 15 years, at 51, I have decided to return to Scotland. I have a fair amonut of money in my Australian Super fund and I understand that I may not be able to access it or transfer it to a UK fund, at least until I am 65. Is this correct?

If so what have other returnees done; have you continued to contribute to you Australian Super while in the UK? Any experience or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi - if you have been paying into Australian super for the past 15 years then my understanding is that if you leave Australia on a permamnent basis you can withdraw it at age 55.
