Wink Artificial Enviroment...

It's been a bit quiet on here lately so I thought I'd put fingers to keyboard and share with you one of my daydreaming thoughts.

I suppose this ties in with the 'Legoland' subject.

When I try to pin point the exact thing which feels so 'wrong' about my life here I usually draw a blank and just put it down to culture differences and my newly discovered talent which is the inability to do 'change' very well (if at all ) but this time I found an analogy.

It's as if I am living in a zoo exhibit and my surroundings have been enhanced artificially in the hope that I will not become bored with my captive state...Yep it sure does look very similar to what I'm used to 'in the wild' but it's not quite right somehow....even if it does resemble paradise. The keepers have added little touches like grassed areas for us to exercise in and supermarkets to get nutrition. There are lots of rules and regulations to keep our enclosure running smoothly but I 'm missing the companionship of my family group, the locals sure are friendly but it's just not the same and I sure do miss the familiarity of the place where I was born. Despite breeding in captivity I now worry that my new off-spring will always be the odd one out from his siblings..........

Does this make sense or have I finally Overdosed on Pumpkin and Beetroot and gone mad??

Good grief I'm bored tonight.....does it show

Jan

I don't think you've overdosed on anything...unless I have too...I drive around sometimes and areas are all the same...the people even look alike...its can be a bit scary that people want to live like that...the houses where we live may look a bit alike...but the people are all different...we may not all have great grass...and new cars...but we still look like we have a life....

I knew there was an explanation for feeling like this. Eat the food of the devil, and this is how we end up feeling

Ah, so it's not just me! I keep getting the weird feeling I'm wandering around a film set rather than a real place...

I just wish someone would yell "Cut!"

Yes and that reminds me.....most of the houses I've been in (including my own) never felt homely....kinda superficial and flimsy. There are some wonderful homes out there, but I suspect that not many of us can afford the kind that ooze character and that cozy feel that older loved houses have.....everything (on the whole) is too perfect!!!

Jan (better day today due to mass retail therapy that included a high Street!)

That's funny, I've kept thinking of The Truman Show in relation to this place ever since I saw it...
