We used Rinkens. They dropped at our door, we loaded it, they picked it up and delivered it to the UK. We had them unload it here,....with all the stairs here in our UK house it was worth it for them to unload.

We had a 20 ft container. A 20 ft container should ship the contents of a 2-3 BR house. It cost us around $4600 USD to ship from Atlanta to SE Wales 2 years ago. Rinkens wasn't the cheaptest I found but it was the best buy for what we needed. Beware some moving companies will give you a lowball quote that doesn't include all the port and customs fees, extra fees for leaving the conatiner at your residence longer than a couple of hours, etc and in the end a low quote will cost you a lot more than other companies quoted you. Rinkens quoted a figure that was all inclusive.

Remember to ditch any oversized furniture you have in the States. It most likely won't fit the smaller rooms and tight corners here in the UK.
