Who is from Where?
I have recently joined this forum and observed that there are lot of expats from Saudi Arabia. Let us have an introduction like telling who is living in which part of Saudi Arabia (or Bahrain as well) and what is he/she currently involved in 
About me, I am an expat living in Eastern Province (Al Khobar) of Saudi Arabia from the last 21 years. Currently I am employed in Gulf Power Distribution Systems located in Dammam Industrial City 2, working as an Automation Engineer.
Anyone else?

CeeBee, i know exactly what your colleague means as I also share the same feeling. Actually the laws here are so strict that an expat has literally no independence to do anything of his/her own choice. You can't hang out comfortably, can't go to shopping malls alone where there are lot of families, can't socialize as it is not a normal practice etc etc. So after suffering all this, one hears a voice from inside 'I am here only'

not that i am a lecherous bachelor out to gawk at girls but my empty stomach motivated me to get my dinner somehow.

and in some places, this rule is seriously practiced.You are talking about 9 months, i am here from 20 years and nobody has stopped me. But I know lot of guys who were stopped. Lets talk about the general rule implemented on everybody
