Sorry, I am new to this forum and am quite shocked by the language and attitude allowed!
I think it is time for abroath_abroad to go home, clearly he isn't embracing the culture. What is the point of living here if you are so negative??? Unless you are just one of those investment banker-types who wants to make a bundle and go home! A pity... what are you giving to the community? What will your legacy be here? Why bother?

why am i not embracing the culture exactly, i have prob seen more ramadans than you have had sunday roasts.......

I think Mirdif and surrounding areas have a good vibe to the place. My mate told me that there is a hotel being built in mirdif....
Sure that was happening when i lived there

maybe at weekends. Was there last weekend actually, went to Festival City...its impressive.
