waitrose
I read that Waitrose is opening in Dubai in 2008... JV with spineeys.
Is it that big of a deal that they are arriving in UAE? I understand that with spinneys, carrefor & M&S there's already a great selection... Does harveynics have a food floor as well? Do I bother bringing any of delia's books or can I access online? (yes, FOOD & cooking is a big thing for me...) |

It seemed to me, from the announcement, that all the Waitrose stores were actually going to be operated by Spinneys... no? It'll be more like a franchising deal than a licencing one, from what I have read. Could be wrong!

Re: waitrose
Thanks everyone.
Too bad about M&S having a poor food section... just when they were getting their act back in gear in the UK too! I'll make spinneys first on my list for necessary supplies for the approaching 3 weeks of hotel stay. |
