Any experience?

How many days does it take to get UK visit visa (First Time Visitor), from British Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

no idea, as this site is British Expats most of us don't need a visa to return as we are British Passport holders.

It doesn't take long, I am British but I do have a foreign wife, and her 5 year visa came through with little time delay, think it was 4 days. She has had a few 1 and 2 year visas before.

Just get the forms and carefully read them and make sure you submit all the documents required, not forgetting an invitation letter. Surprisingly I could not invite my own wife as I live in UAE, and had to get a friend resident in UK to do so! If no friends in UK you will need a hotel, if its a holiday, or company invitation letter if its is a business trip.

I submitted the application today, and they are hopefull to process in a couple of days. I have submitted all the required documents. So lets see.
