Hello everyone,
Just curious if anyone in the group are nurses and are currently awaiting clearance or already have had it completed?
Also... why is there no way of tracking the security clearance like you can with HAAD licencing? hmm...

It is normal. Could take a lot longer.
As an earlier poster stated - it also depends on when your paperwork was actually submitted. They could have submitted it the moment they decided they wanted to offer you; or it could still be sitting on some guy's desk in HR gathering dust. The higher your position, the more extensive the check is (ie the longer the wait).
Previous security clearances carry no weight, even if you change from one position to a promotional position in the same organisation, you need to get a new security clearance (unless the rule has changed recently).
