Lightbulb Teaching English in M.E.

I am 28 single male from Montreal Canada looking to work in the Middle East for 12-month contract. I was hoping someone could help me navigate the rough terrain: good place to look for housing with other Westerners around (compounds etc), good teaching opportunities with good wages, things to look out for and avoid, tips, etc;

Thank-you for your time and help,
Mike

Try Dave's ESL cafe for a good English teaching resource.

Heaps of jobs are posted there, including quite a few in the Middle East.
