I love that... We wouldn't normally buy iceland oven chips in the UK at a quid - then you see them for 4quid here!

no, I don't know what possessed me! It was just the fact it was such a blatant rip-off... like the Wilco brand wrapping paper on sale in Geant... £1.99 transforms into 25AED!

Hello,

Does anyone know if non native English speaker could work as a teacher in Dubai schools? I am English teacher, 8 years work experience and my wife teaching ,music 6 years work experience.

We both have university diploma, but we are not native English speakers.

Please could anyone give some info it would be so helpful for us

there are loads of Indian/Pakistani schools in Dubai as well as the English Curriculum ones you know?

Gems, run by Sunni Varkey. 'Our Own Indian School' is one.

I would just google 'Indian Schools Dubai' and see what comes up.

There are lots as there is a very big Indian population in Dubai (in fact the biggest population of Indians outside India is in Dubai - betcha didn't know that )

try all the schools nonetheless - some may have a policy based on nationality (as horrid as that may sound) but lots employ people of all kinds and to be honest, having worked in the UK will set you in good stead.

Miss Kitty's teacher is a non-native English speaker in a Early Years curriculum setting and is quite frankly wonderful.

Mittens year 1 teacher was also a non native English speaker and she is the best teacher we have had so far
