Having now sorted out salary, car the question of compounds was discussed. He has proposed a villa on either Seder, Granada or Eid but basically said the chances of a 3 bed on Eid remote. Of course Eid is where I want to be!
Have done a lot of searching on the forum and google from the information gleaned am not impressed by the two other compounds. Seder seems to be a compound built around 1975 by Ballast Needham and is of poor construction and have struggled to get much if any info on Granada, which I am taking to be bad.
Anybody currently live with their families on either of these compounds?
Got the standard reply of come out and if not happy we can look to move you!

Seder is known as 'the trailer park' but it does have a good (ahem) social scene which is a big plus. There's a motel there that you can stay in to sample if you visit KSA before the move.

I find this strange that nobody knows anything about Granada!
Had seen various posts about people about to move to it, then nothing, is there something I should know?

Seder Village is fine. A lot cheaper than some of the other more prestigious compounds, very green, lots of kids and a good pre-school, facilities are a little old and tired but kept in reasonable order. The villas are also quite old but as the maintenance is good things are fixed quickly if/when they break, my stay here has been very comfortable. The location is a bit further out of town so your commute may be a bit longer. If you don't have the budget/wasta to get you into one of the better compounds then it is not a bad option. Socially there are a few cliques (Brits are particularly bad about this) but it is mostly very friendly.

Well laid it on the line that Seder and Granada were unacceptable and have now been told that they will get me on to Eid.
Of course it could just be a way to get me out and put me somewhere else
