I'm afraid my 3g WiFi modem seems to throttle right down if I try to use a pesky VPN so BBC iPlayer isn't an option. Anybody know any (legal of course) streaming sites which are not location sensitive?

Use Iplayer and no vpn. Google dns iplayer for the details.

Try tvcatchup, it usually has BBC 1 on it and isn't restricted by VPN as far as I'm aware.
Otherwise there is a paid for app, called rugby pass which has all rugby games worldwide shown live on it. You can cast it to your tv.

I watched the first weekend on TV catch up. Seems only the England games need an alternative stream as most of the others are on TV catch up.
