try getting down to ace hardware....... by oasis centre ... between junctions 2 and 3 on SZR...... they have a paint section there and i think they can arrange painters. U cud also try the classifieds to look up specialist painters.... another good option wud be a drive down naif road... they have loads of furniture/paint/upholstery shops on that stretch. I wudnt go by myself though... take someone with u.... u r likely to get an excellent deal there aswell.

oh... just remembered this place at Al Hanna Centre in Satwa... just next to Rydges Plaza... there is this one shop that does furniture and wall painting.... check it out if ur in the area.

hope that helps.

Hi SM..... Why not buy the sponge painting kits / stencil kits and do it yourself? Ace do some lovely kits in various designs for all areas including kids bedrooms.

they probably asked for ur credut card even before u walked in..... i know.... they r pricy, but where else can one get that sort of stuff? Meena Bazzar? Eugh! I thick not.... its worth the extra few dirhams, but for the painting, i agree... it is fun if u do it urself.... have attempted it just once.... was fun, but very exhausting.

Ace paints and Juton are on offer rightr now at 89 Dhs instead of 119, so its pretty good, gonna check out a few others first before a choice is made!

OMG!!!!!!!! I didnt realise they were that expensive.......... get down to Naif Road, by the Water Tank in Deira.... the Jotun and National Paint shops there sell paint cans ranging from AED 20 for small tins to AED 50 for the gigantic tubs of paint. U cud save a fortune if u went down there.

Shame bout the kitchen.... most kitchens in the ME are tiled and tile paint just isnt available.
