Chris, i'm pleased for you that you live around locals. I've only ever spoken to about half a dozen in 12 months here, not including airport security / passport types!

Cheers, I work with quite a few locals as well. I'm thinking of taking Arabic lessons and then I could actually understand what they are saying! Though I might not want to know - they could be calling me all sorts lol

Chris and SYB, thanks for all your help. We have a lot of thinking to do. I am certain that I am going to have an offer in a couple of weeks time and then we must make a decision. As I said earlier we will come out to AD before I sign. When we do i will let you know so we can have those beers. So long as you have a licence!!!

There is good diving on the East Coast (or was before the oil slick last week). Never been in AD - people tell me it isn't that great (very shallow in the Arabian Gulf). Weescott has been diving in AD - she could advise you.
