I'd like to ship a small volume of personal effects from UK to Abu Dhabi - less than 1 cubic metre in total volume and around 30-40Kg.

Any recommendations for a freight forwarder please, either for air or by sea?

We used Pickfords in AD and since in Bh. You have to wait a bit as it goes groupage to keep the costs down or alternatively if you are willing to shell out it can go air freight but is a lot more expensive.

I am sure there are better options with straight freight forwarders but we like Pickfords so pay the premium

Oyibopeppeh, I dont normally deal with pfx, however if you can PM me the actual weight and dimensions and be willing to have someone drop it off beside a major airport - and be willing to collect it in Abu Dhabi after I customs clearance, I can atleast give you a price and make sure you aren't getting ripped off.

Oh, and FYI, if you had 1cbm, you'll be paying for 166 Kg.

Take your CBM amount - for example 0.85, * 1,000,000 and / by 6000 to get your volumetric weight (141.67 Kg for 0.85 CBM).
