On behalf of a friend who may be coming out here, looking to find in Abu Dhabi the cheapest decent 1-bed apartment, preferably downtown, or near Park Rotana, or near Sas Al Nakhl. Decent = suitable for a western expat, and not off the beaten track (she probably won't have a car).

I'm not asking you to look through Dubizzle for me, just if anyone knows without expending any effort.

I live in Al Seef compound fairly close to Park Rotana (next to Al Qurm). Good quality 1 bed, 2 bathroom with a huge roof terrace. Pool and gym on site, small shop on next compound. I have no idea of prices though as my employer pays for ours. It's a bit of a building site in the surrounding areas, but fairly quiet (apart from occasional planes). We've been here a month and still using taxis, which can usually find it! The road outside is fairly quiet so it might be too remote for your friend.
