It was either the westerwood or the travel lodge! I used to own a house right next to westerwood. Its a lovely area actually and a nice hotel.

I'm back in cumbernauld often (staying at the travel lodge)

I said I go there often. I am not from there. I am from the costa del angus.

Anyway, there is the A80 that separates cucumbernauld and the nice parts :-))

And it has to be said, it must be home, possibly only in a fierce competition with Newcastle, to the ugliest bastards on the planet, even the Mongolians look attractive to the shit up there.

So anyhow, I'm heading to Doha this weekend for a 5 week stint... so they tell me. What's the name of the rugby club...where is it... can I get in without tripping over drunken jocks?

The name of the rugby club is called 'the rugby club'

Its in the abu hamour area and no its not full of drunken jocks. Huge mix of people and its usually a place to go to let your hair down a little. No prying eyes and the booze is cheap. Kids running around everywhere and very loud if thats you're sort of thing

Make you right there mate , horrendous place . Seen a boy take a bottle in the chops in there last year , the kid was a right mess .

Best avoided especially on a Friday once the post brunch wankers arrive .

Thanks for the tips! Looks like I'll be arriving Sunday, not sure what hours I'll be doing so might not get a venture out til next weekend. I think our office address is: The Pearl Building, Airport Road; Umm Ghuwalina. Anyone heard of it, what's the area like? And I think we're being billeted at the Al Liwan Suites at 27 Umm Ghowailina Street. I have no idea whether this is good or bad... a heads up would be much appreciated. Cheers... So where would be a good alternative to the Rugby club for a newbie?
Thanks again
Geordie
