Saudi - final exit visa
For a dependent who only has an iqama (no bank account etc), how long does a final exit visa take to finalise?

Takes about two minutes. You do it yourself for your dependents. I'm presuming you have an Absher account. Get the app on your phone and use that. Like I said, two minutes. In theory there is no need to show any paperwork at the airport because everything is online anyway. Plus final exit is free.....

well it may take two mins but only if you have no loans, fines or other criminal accusations against you and, usually the biggest spanner in the works, that your employer/sponsor, approves it.

The OP was asking about a final exit for dependents, which has nothing to do with your employer. Anybody with a family does their family's visas themselves. Any outstanding fines etc that the family head has, would have no bearing on his ability to issue a visa for his family members.

they were indeed... and in this country, it might be harder to get your sponsor's approval if they are the head of your household!
but fair enough...

After leaving on a final exit visa, can the dependent (UK passport, no Aramco links) easily make a family visit back to Saudi for a month or two?
If necessary, can the dependent return to live full time in KSA as a dependent?
(Hopefully not necessary)

It's also fine to come back again full time. The only problem with that though is the hoops you may have to jump through, making the online appointment to get your Iqama verified etc.
TBH, I'd think carefully about your future plans and whether it's worth doing the resident visa again. With the visit visa the visitor can stay for three months, extendable by another three months in the country if you want.
Six months of the year should be enough time in the year to spend with a woman!!
