You can definitely live on it, you just need to make sure it's good for what you do...if that makes sense.

evelopment Manager in Business intelligence
I have more than 15 years experience in IT domain and 6 years in BI domains
I have a wife an daugther 9 years old
The offer is :
salary 17.600 AED
house 12.500 AED
travel 1.380 AED
primary 40.000 per academic year
secondary 60.000 per academic year

The other thing which impacts on the salary (which most people forget or don't realise) is that the salary can vary greatly depending on the size of the company and also whether they are local or international....
