Roger Waters
Anyone else going to see him on Wednesday night, or am i the only sad Pink Floyd fan here?
Seen him, David Gilmour and Pink Floyd on no less than 6 occasions previously.
How sad am I?

Re: Roger Waters
However, coming from a former Iron Curtain country, we never had the chance to see Pink Floyd, ever. But we like their music, listened to it wherever and whenever we could and are looking forward to seeing Roger Waters in this concert.
But why are you sad?

Re: Roger Waters
I would have gone, but a friend is flying in to stay on Wednesday. Also the seated tickets are very pricey. I have a bad back & can't stand still for long, so would have had to pay Dhs 595 per person for a seat.
Hope you have a good time. I love Pink Floyd. Dark Side of the Moon is played regularly around here & still sounds fresh.

I went and saw Roger Waters at the creek several years ago and he was the most pretentious wanker i have ever had the misfortune to see. Fortunately he now has the rights to use the Pink Floyd songs he wrote or co-wrote and everyone who went to his gig here in Hong Kong last week said it was awesome. He played lots of old Floyd stuff as well as the classics and very little of his own rubbish.
When he was in Dubai he stayed at the Fairmont and a friend of mine who worked there said that before he arrived all staff were briefed that he had sent instructions beforehand that he was not to be looked in the eye by anyone, that he was not to be called Mr Waters or Roger or anything close and that he was to be served a particular water at a particular temperature!
