Very nice aptm in a villa, though not huge
The price? 120k + 3k for utilities
it's a good area. Try La Brioche cafe as they do great bread and cakes. Signposted off 13th Street near the Liwa Villas (the expensive compound of villas - orangey colour).

Mmm...with the rise of Dubai as a flight hub, there is a reasonable risk that you may transit Dubai on the way from Europe to Asia/Pacific. Could find yourself hauled off a flight in the middle of the night..

I'll take my chances.
I've no intention in giving our landlord the 2nd six months. Especially since in the last week he's promised to come look at our a/c on 3 occassions and not once turned up.

6 months of rent should be roughly 60k dhs or 16k US (don't know UK). For that kind of money saved, I'll pay extra to avoid the entire ME on layovers for life and still come out on top.

It's not like the poor landlord would be hurt by this. He'd have his money for the time the place was used and then he could rent it again at new market value. Victimless crime.

if they convert a villa to flats they need a document from the municpality to say legally they can change the use sort of thing. ask the questions and always get a copy of passport etc.

Can I correct the information regarding medical insurance?

If you are on an Abu Dhabi visa, your emoloyer is obliged by law to provide you with medical insurance, plus your spouse and up to three children aged under 18. The cover must be HAAD compliant, so includes issues like maternity cover and has certain conditions.
