Ranco Villiage
Hi all I am moving out there in a few weeks and would like to know what Ranco Village is like to live in as I have been giving a flat there. Thanks

Only been there the once, for a quiz night, which was quite good fun. Seems a good social life there. It's perhaps one of the 'budget' type compounds, but should still have the basics eg small shop, restaurant, pool, gym etc. From what I saw, a lot of the units were a bit chalet / motel style, upper floors with deck access, but looked ok.
The compound itself is just off a very busy main road, so should give you access to major parts of the City. Do you know where you will be working location wise?

Al Sadhan supermarket is only a few minutes away which is quite good for food shopping .

I like it because they normally have a good selection of fruit and veg at good prices . Bread and cakes are good too . Homeware upstairs has got a good selection as well .
The best part for me though is that it is normally pretty empty so when we go my children tend to run around a bit and it's not a problem . I find Carrefour is always so busy.
