Well I'm sorry if I appear to lack imagination, but I've just got back to Dubai at the weekend after spending 4 long, lonely weeks in Doha. I was getting tired of Dubai, but now I'm glad to be back. Not only is Doha desolate, it is in another bloody century. It is far more conservative, and the administration of the place is stuck in the Middle Ages. The only places for expats to go are grim, working-mens-club style dumps full of bitter old expats, or ridiculously expensive hotel bars. You can't get bacon. You just have to listen to the only English-speaking radio station to gauge it. QBS! A third French, third English, the rest the calls to prayer or news about what the Emir had for breakfast that day. Tell you what, Cat Boy in the morning sounded great this morning!

As I said, little jimmy ..... Qatar is not for everyone!
But good for family types - safe, sound & secure - I have never locked the front door since living here
Looking at some of your posts, you for sure would be better off in the decadent West
As to bacon - why, we have it often! I simply go and do some shopping in Spinneys

Don't know what you meant about "The decadent west". I just thought Doha was boring.

I am not bored ..... only came to this forum to see if anybody serious is looking for a new job !
