Qatar vs Dubai

I have just joined this forum today, and already I have a strong feeling that people here are rather anti my beloved Qatar

Well, I have been living in Doha for 6 yrs now: my cats are happy, my dog is happy, even the budgie keeps chirping happily! and my tomatoes are happy too :)

And where in Dubai could you find a free square meter to plant tomatoes? let alone take the dog for a walk ..... the place is just one huge building site!

Hi Wendy
I am looking to move to Qatar or Dubai and would appreciate your views on Qatar.
I am hoping to get a job in the oil/gas sector.

Thanks Anne;)

even after all the negative posting I have seen on here regarding Qatar, I would move there if we had too. Rather like the idea of somewhere quieter than here. If not I would like to get out of dubai and go to RAK or Al Ain, but most of you know that anyway.

Anne / Blue Cat

If you have work you love, and a husband who loves you, Qatar is great! ..... I will however concede - without that, and without even a dog, Doha can be a desolate place for some, especially those without a certain amount of imagination
