Qatar. Do I need to get official documents attested??
Before arrival I mean?
I'm due to take up the offer of a contract in Qatar soon. I have been doing some research and have read that it is necessary to have copies of passports, birth certificates, marriage certificates, training and education certificates, etc, etc, attested and stamped by the foreign office of our country of origin, and the Qatari embassy, prior to arrival. Is this correct?
If so can I assume that it may less of an issue if you're going to work for a national/government entity?
And that on the other hand if my wife wants to get a job for a private company she will definately need it doing?
Can anyone shed any light on the need to get this done?
Thanks

Watch the British Embassy here as they currently charge around 300 QAR for the privilege of certs.
Get your wifes done as well as if she commences work she'll still be on your visa but will need a work permit so she'll need to submit any relevant certs.
Good luck
