Question Possible move to Israel - advice please

Hi i have just discovered this website and wondered if anyone here can help me as i have tried various other sources without sucess!!

My boyfriend lives in Israel and i live in the UK and at the moment we are flying back and forth to visit each other but we want to be together properly, so i am wondering how hard it would be for me to move to Israel to be with him as i am not jewish!

Any help would be appreciated

wouldn't have a clue, most here probably wouldn't as there mostly in dubai with the odd few in Qatar, but there might a embassy type link in the faq's, if not, a google for those would be your best bet

Anyway, welcome to the forum

Some people with some previous experience may be able to help you - but as most of us live in countries with an official 'Israel doesn't exist' policy the practical help may be thin on the ground.

It's mostly countries completely unaffected by Israel (like the Gulf states) that have a "doesn't exist" policy towards Israel...

Never been there myself and only met a few people in Dubai who have...apparently if you have an Israeli visa stamp in your passport you will not be alowed into most Gulf states - so wild nights in Tel Aviv or trips to recouperate in the dead sea are out of the question if you are planning to go anywhere else in the middle east!

but if you mention you'll need to travel around the gulf, they will stamp a slip of paper that is paperclipped into the passport so you can throw it out when you leave...sister has done it loads.

Well if what you read about Saudi Arabia? And it scares you? I would really think twice about a move to Israel. And certainly if your not Jewish!!!! Been there, seen it. An eight digit salery in Euro's wouldn't get me that crazy.

Not strictly true either - I know people who have Israeli stamps in their passport who have got into the country with no hassle. It depends on the guy on the desk.

The one way around this is of course, to buy an egate card

And I wouldn't advise it the other way around either. I mean showing up in Israel with a passport full of Arab visa's either. You tend to get a really "warm" welcome from those guys. Not that it ever impressed me. Hell if you can survive the racism of trying to enter the USA? You can survive anything.
