Need some help with this one...
If a person (a european) left his job in a GCC member country (not the UAE) before his contract ended, without giving notice of resignation or obtaining a NOC from his employer (he failed to return from his leave in early 2007), is he likely to experience any problems with the authorities if he takes up a job in Dubai?
Appreciate any feedback on this.

No - you won't have any problem working in the UAE.
But, if your plane happens to land in that country (e.g. diversion due to bad weather) then you could have problems....
