Default PIF timeline

Hi all, I am in the process for a PIF position - currently being interviewed for a (S)VP role. Went through informal 1:1, screening, HM interview (which took place 2 weeks ago). Since then, no updates. Is it normal for the PIF to wait a few weeks between an interview and sharing feedback/next steps with candidates? Anyone had similar experiences with the Fund?
What is the recommendation in terms of following up with the Fund? Should I reach out often, should I go through HM or recruiter? Should I patiently wait till they get back to me?

Thanks in advance!

I recently completed a second interview with a pif backed company. The director I interviewed with last said he would hand over his recommendations to HR and they would take it from there. He couldn't commit to a timeline, but I didn't get the impression anything would happen in the immediate future.

Admittedly, working for a western company, can't say the process is anymore clear there either. insha'Allah, you will get a response eventually. Patience is a key quality to possess for this process.

They are known for testing patience. I got verbal offer a month after the interview and the final offer 15 days after.

Small update. Verbal offer 2 weeks after interview. Five people now have to approve all my paperwork which I'm submitting today. Then sone online approvals process to follow. Sounds like it could take a few months..

First, congrats, Gilwell123 —that's really exciting! I'm actually going through a similar experience. I was contacted by a headhunter late last week (Thursday) for a VP role with PIF. I had my pre-screening interview with the headhunter, but I'll admit I didn't do my best since I was jet lagged and none of what I prepared for was addressed. However, he did say he would put my application forward.

Shortly after our call, he sent a coversheet with more questions about my experience and why I want to work for PIF etc. I submitted it to him on Sunday evening, and he confirmed my profile was submitted on Monday. I asked about timelines and what to expect during our initial chat, and he mentioned "as early as next week."

From your experience, what's the typical timeline for hearing back if they're moving forward with my application? When is the right time to follow up with the headhunter? It's been three days since I submitted my application and a week since the recruiter and I first chatted.
Thanks so much!

I trial stages went fairly quickly, everything after that slows down. It could be a few days, it could be a number of weeks.

Could also be a number of months, apparently...but you are absolutely right, that is exactly my experience.

Thanks - unfortunately I don't have an answer to your questions as in my case there was no involvement of HHs. But usually that's quite straightforward (i.e., days), based on my experience with other companies.
