Default Bill.0's questions about PIF job offer

Hi,
I recieved a job offer for PIF job.
All the allowances sections like schooling and flight tickets are filled with "as per policy" with no numbers or percentage.
Is this normal?

Confusion? Irritation? Contradictory or a lack of information? All perfectly normal in KSA.

Congrats on the job offer. PIF, like NEOM has a standardised package (salary +up to 25% uplift) and housing, transport and flights included......but.....this used to be included in the package but distinct from the salary. More and more frequently the number on the bottom of the page covers salary, housing and transport. Flights may differ, as does user experience!

Go back to HR for clarification and maintain composure .

Hello. There is an annual review and increase. It typically happens March/April and the increase is a few %, based on inflation. There are also two promotion cycles a year. I think you have to be with the company for 6+ months at time of the pay review for a raise. Promotion is based on performance review.
Cheers,

As it's not a NEOM job, I've moved your post and the responses in to a new thread.

Congrats on the job offer, Bill

How long did it take to get an offer from the first initial contact for you? Did HR clarify what schooling benefits and flight tickets are like? Thank you.

Thanks,
It was 8 weeks between the first intial contact and the offer.
They clarified the benefits verbally, not in writing.

I've recently had a verbal offer from a PIF project in Riyadh also. Everything has so far gone through the recruitment company. They specify 'business class annual flights', but given no specifics on schooling which was originally sold to me as anywhere in the world to now being 'in kingdom only'. The potential 25% uplift too didn't seem certain, but as I'm already in KSA that's not too much of an issue.

From initial contact I had two interviews one week apart and then the offer came through a week or so after. Just processed the paperwork and waiting for the written offer..it's been a week. Not holding my breath. Inshallah, one day.

Hello ,
Congratulations on your job! I am a Canadian citizen and I have been working in KSA for the past year. However, my contract ended after completing the project. Currently, I am living in CA and actively searching for new opportunities in KSA. Unfortunately, I haven't received any positive feedback despite applying through various websites and the internet.I understand the importance of having connections to push our resumes to the next step. Additionally, I am trying to explore opportunities in digital city projects, Vision 2030 projects, or PIF jobs. Could you please guide me on how I can find opportunities in these areas? I am originally from the Middle East, and I would like to express my gratitude for your support.
Thank you so much and appreciated your support and feedback

Hi,
I never worked in the KSA before and I didn't apply for the job, a recruiter contacted me via LinkedIn and asked me if I am open for a new job opportunity. No connection helped me with that.
Since you are already applying for jobs in KSA, the other thing you can do is to keep your LinkedIn profile updated and expand your network. I am not sure what else can be done.
Wish you luck with your job hunting

This needs to be stressed. Recruiters live in your inbox. You'll get 2-3 contacts a week for there same job. Just find someone reputable, ideally Western. I have found the Filipino and South Asian recruiters quite pushy, yet not forthcoming and demand stuff upfront before revealing who they are hiring for. It's a big red flag for me. Try to locate Western recruiters, though this is no guarantee for a decent experience either.

Local HR staff will never respond to emails, even when you work for them, unless its important to them.

Hello,

Thank you for your response. I am applying for jobs most of the time, and my LinkedIn profile is up to date. Can you tell me about your domain or title if you don't mind? Please let me know if you have seen any jobs through PIF or other jobs related to Mega projects.

Thanks a lot.
