Hi Folks

I moved out to Dubai a week ago from the UK. I'm in temporary company accomodation just now but have been looking for somewhere to rent down in the Marina, ideally on the same side as the yacht club so I can avoid the JBR traffic and it's also easy for me to get out to my office at Jebel Ali.

My other half is following me out in a few months and we will need two cars. The issue I have is that none of the two bed apartments come with a second parking space. Is anybody aware of any exceptions, or in general can you rent a second space from the building management once you move in? I've looked at a few 3 bedrooms just so i can get a second space but seems a bit stupid paying the extra just so I can park 2 cars.

+1. The Marina is like a council estate with a lake in it.

Probably the best assessment of the Marina that I've read.

Even JLT is the same, but with less access and more parking.
