If Bahrain go the whole hog and ban booze altogether, its gonna be even harder to get expats to go work there..

Wonder if we are gonna see Abdallah put a little pressure on Khalifa, or whether they are gonna redirect the causeway road straight onto the the road south to the Qatar causeway....????

if the beer & bacon zone goes down, i think you'll see a lot of 'mini-break' flights with nasair to places like sharm and the gulf become more popular. qatar's just that extra hour or so too far for us riyadhites...

I don't think a booze and pork ban in Bahrain will stop ex-pats coming here. The drive to Doha is easy enough around 6 hours including the time spent at the border, although they don't sell pork either. There's enough stuff around for it not to be a huge problem - and what else do you use the airing cupboard for if not grape juice ?
