It varies.

Some things come with two pin or some with three.

To highlight this, have two tv's, one JVC 2 pin plug, one Pannasonic 3 pin plug

Kettle three pin, microwave 2 pin

All we want is some consistency:curse:

Sorry, I meant the sockets - are they 3-pin??

We have the same in Dubai. Sockets are 3-pin, UK style, but most things you buy have 2 pins.

I'm pretty sure they were 3 pin plugs in the hotel we stayed in there.

Most sockets it would seem in the majority properties are 3 pin sockets, but just as Dubai variety of plugs that you are given with your electrical goods

Most hotels have the UK 3 pin system,
However appliances vary...depends where they were sourced from

Well sockets are 3 pin, so fine, but it seems that Oman telecom doesn't support blackberries! How ridiculous is that & how bloody annoying! I cam ehere for a break & now I am stressed as I cannot keep up with work. (And no I cannot access vis normal email as I use a special VPN, that only my laptop & blackberry can access.)

Some blackberries will work, but mine is linked to a UK company on an Orange contract. Seems Orange doesn't have an agreement with Oman telecom. Grr.

Anyway, I don't care any more as am at the Barr Al Jissah resort. Fab!
