Novita, Jakarta Ramadan behaviour
Seen the Khaleej times today???
Hundreds of militants attacked Star Deli Cafe, S Jakarta, popular with foreigners, smashing front window and other damage etc. The group Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) attacked shop after it being closed for an hour adding that attackers were numbered in their hundreds. It is not known what provoked attack on cafe that had not served alcohol. Guards watched from a distance but did not intervene.
Sweeping - where locals can go out reap havoc and scare the shit out of all Westerners, steal, rape and abuse....and they want to attract International investment.

So you understand why I don't like to go there with my 2 'bule boys'. Those Indonesian always think as far as you are white, you will have lots of money to burn and to throw.
Sweeping: they not only happen in Jakarta. Those local Indonesian will just raid any hotels in any city when they feel want it and throw the 'white people' out. Do not expect the local police to do much for you.
I know... it is not a good advert for my country, but believe me... I am being honest here.

Gosh sorry Novita I didn't mean to scare you, I just get angry at what cud be such a great place being ruined by a minority.
