New Law in Qatar Banning Housewives to Drive
hey guys.. just a bit gobsmaked when i heared that a new law in Qatar to be introduced by the traffic deprtment banning expatriate women to drive
...
donno how true it is.. a friend read it in the paper...

I think it is a rumour...........doubt if they will introduce a harebrained law, esp when they're trying to compete with dubai

No chance. The city is far too spread out for the Metro to be of much use to expats. You still have to get too and from the metro stations, probably by car, unlike in HK or Singapore where you can walk to stations quite easily.

No chance. The city is far too spread out for the Metro to be of much use to expats. You still have to get too and from the metro stations, probably by car, unlike in HK or Singapore where you can walk to stations quite easily.

Hi IG.. i know.. it has been a long time.. been too distracted.. now Mrs ZooZ is back home for a while i get more time to do things....
Novi.. i cannot tell her.. she might get stressed out and pop out the new baby early or something....

You also forget the weather - MTR is fine if the weather is also conducive to walking from the station to your final destination.
Cannot imagine taking the MTR to work, getting off at the station and then walking in the blazing sun/heat for 10-15 minutes to get to work.
