Need advice on compounds in Khobar
Having started out looking in Dammam it seems Khobar is where i'll be staying as the advice to date all points to that being the best location for a Brit in the area.
So, any input on why I should choose any of the particular compounds would be most welcome.
I am travelling on a bachelor status, will be travelling quite a bit anyway around Saudi, but want a good social scene with pool and gym. Need to have laundry facilities of some kind, covered parking prefered.
Thanks in advance.
Nigel

Poetic licence by the Filipino blurb-writer. Maybe he meant romance with the Missus ? Or some sodomy with the officeboy ?

Re: Need advice on compounds in Khobar
Hi all,
I'm an italian (female) architect and I received an offer from the University of Dammam as associate professor.
I'm trying to understand...
1) if the offer I received is economically ok, and if I've mark up in bargaining;
2) how to find an housing, because the University offered me just 25.000 SAR/yearly and I founded apartment in compounds starting from 75.000 SAR/yearly;
3) If you think it's possible as lonely woman not to live in compound or to share a big villa with somebody else...
Thanks a lot!
and sorry for my not-british english

Very difficult. How will you get around ? KSA is a motorised society but women cannot drive. Your accommodation allowance is not nearly enough.
